Young adults and teenagers overestimate mortality risk

A couple of weeks ago scientists found that teenagers and young adults overestimate the risk of dying in the near future.

This is not surprising, since this risk has been high for millenniums. And young people taking the risk of dying probably got more children. So overestimating our death risk when we are young is in our genes, although that will be difficult to prove.
