- Save often:
When editing documents click on Save every couple of minutes to avoid that your time consuming edits get lost in a computer break down or a power outage.
- Select text:
Click the left mouse button and move the mouse while keeping the left mouse button pressed OR
press the shift key and move the arrow keys while keeping the shift key pressed.
- Copy and Paste text:
First Select text, then press the Ctrl key, press the C while keep pressing the Ctrl key. Then move the mouse to another document or to another location in the same document, click with the mouse on the location where you need to paste the text and then press Ctrl again, press V while keep pressing the Ctrl key.
- Undo edits:
Press the Ctrl key, and press the Z key just once while keep pressing the Ctrl key.
- Delete text:
Use the Backspace key, or
use the Delete key, or
Select text and then press the Ctrl key, press the X while keep pressing the Ctrl key.
